Harry Wright:
“The concept of the video was inspired by a very vivid dream i had about a three legged horse. I found out that in Danish folklore a three legged horse is referred to as a ‘Helhest’ and is seen as a symbol of death. Once the Helhest approaches you, you are supposed to bargain with it for your life by offering it a bag of oats. I also think the horse could’ve symbolised my dog Fluffy has also three legs (and has since passed away). The video sees me on this journey in search of the Helhest, using clues and artefacts from reality to try and locate it again in my dreams. I worked closely with the director Ben who has brought this vision to life in his own amazing way.”
Ben Dosage:
“I was inspired by the narraitve sci fi trope started off by films like Stalker, to have this nearly psychadelic journey into this strange “zone” controlled by this helhest spirit. Using various artifacts and symbolic objects I intended on harry expore deeper into the woods on his journey. Sam Pilbeam joint directed this and was a great person to bounce ideas off. Then after filming I melted the footage with NErF scanning and stable diffusion, layered with other post production techniques digitally.”
